2:15 p.m. I arrived on the dot at 2:01 p.m. Sellers were still here with small children. Must sell – accepted job in Houston. They do have wireless – woot! Am supposed to be at office doing floor time, but with wireless, Julie is able to transfer calls to me. This is a beautiful home!
2:23 p.m. Had floor time call transferred from office. Someone wants a couple of acres in the country for their goats. Doesn’t have to perk, so found a great place for them. They’re going to drive by now, so I probably won’t hear back from them. They’ll see listing agent sign and call him. (This is same agent who has listing in LaVergne that has the wrong zoning on it. I got an email from city planner with a “Buyer Beward” warning.) Good news is that for every agent that bends the rules, there are lots more who do observe the rules.
2:39 p.m. No visitors yet. Working on full-page ad for Parade of Homes coming on Sunday, March 16th.
2:57 p.m. Husband called asking when I’d be home. Been in real estate for nearly 5 years and he still doesn’t know the hours of my open houses. Or maybe he just misses me. Or maybe since it’s so pretty out, he wants me there to help him clean out garage.
3:20 p.m. One couple with 7 week old baby came in. Was soooo excited … until they said they live across the street. Neighbors. So I told them to tell all their friends about the home so they could be sure they like the buyers. Will it work?
3:37 p.m. Just got off the phone with Julie in our office about full page ad in Tennessean for Parade of Homes. She told me the price she quoted was for The Source, the Daily News Journal from Murfreesboro. That’s not Nashville. Our LaVergne buyers will come from Nashville, not M’boro. She said the Tennessean price is significantly higher. Oh no.
3:50 p.m. 10 minutes to go. A friend of mine (another agent) just called to tell me about yet another agent who questioned her… “How long have you been in this business?” The only time anyone asks that is with the intention belittle the other agent. Ooooo…. I’d've had to say something mean back.
3:54 p.m. I guess I’m going to shut down before the seller gets back. Too bad more people didn’t show up. Maybe next time!
